How does it work?

When playing poker in real money mode at Carlos [1], you will earn VIP points - and your bonus [2] will depend on how many VIP Points you earn each month.


Your bonus for the previous week will automatically update every Monday, but if you really can’t wait and you have reached the Silver tier or above, you can exchange your VIP points for cash at any time!  Just press the ‘Poker Club’ button in the poker software and follow the steps.

SILVER TIER – when you have reached the Silver Tier,  you will get double your points earned in the month to spend in selected tournaments , so if you earn 250 points, you get another 250 to spend!

 

How do I earn VIP points?
From April 4th 2011, for every US dollar you generate in rake or tournament fees, you earn 10 VIP points –  it's as simple as that! 


Where can I spend my points?

VIP Points can be spent on  buy-ins to most tournaments. Every VIP point spent on tournaments is worth 0.005 USD (half a USD cent)

How do I earn VIP points?
You earn VIP points as you play in real money mode, in the cash games or tournaments.  From April 4th 2011, for every US dollar you generate in rake or tournament fees, you get 10 VIP points.

But I thought my poker account was in euros?
Yes it is – the value of your bonus will be converted to euros at the current rate of the day the payment is made to your account.

Where can I see my VIP points balance?
You can see your VIP points balance in top right of the poker software.  You can follow your progress by clicking the ‘Poker Club’ button in the poker software.


How do I get my cash bonus?
If you’re Gold tier or above, your cash bonus will pay automatically and your points balance will reduce automatically, although you can also change them at any time – just click the ‘loyalty’ button in the software and follow the instructions. 

What are bonus points?
Bonus points are given in promotions and certain loyalty bands as a top up to the points you earn while you play.  They cannot be exchanged for cash, but you can spend them on tournaments in the software.

How is my tier calculated?
Your tier depends on how many VIP points you earn within each month – see the table above.  You can see your tier within the poker software, and what you need to do to go up a one tier.


How do I go up a tier?
Quite simply, earn more points within the month!  You can follow your progress by clicking the ‘Poker Club’ button in the poker software.

How and why do I go down a tier?
You will stay on that band for one month, then you will drop a tier if you don’t play enough.  At other tiers, you must maintain your points earning in that month to stay on that tier.  The maximum number of tiers you can drop per month is one.

What happens if I go up a tier within a week?
You will earn points and get your bonus according to the highest tier you attain within the month.


Do my VIP points expire?
Your VIP points will expire automatically after 180 days’ account inactivity.


What is the difference between Tier Points and Bonus Points?
Your VIP Points balance is made up of Tier and Bonus Loyalty Points. When you play for real money, you earn Tier Points. Extra Points earned from Specials and Tier Bonuses are Bonus Points. Only Tier Loyalty Points contribute to moving you up to the next Loyalty tier. However, Tier and Bonus VIP Points have the same value when you redeem them.
 

What can I do with my Loyalty Points? Your Loyalty Points can be used to:

Buy into selected tournaments, some or all of your points will be redeemed for cash at Silver level or above.
 
Why can I not redeem all my Loyalty Points for cash?
A percentage of points can be redeemed for money at Silver tier or above.  Any bonus points you have been given will not be redeemable for cash. 


How many points will be consumed when I convert to cash?
For Every 1USD you get in cash bonus, 33 VIP points will be redeemed.


What is the Grace Period?
The Grace Period is the limited period of time that enables you to remain on a tier, even if you have not managed to gain the required number of points for that tier. At the end of a grace period if you do not earn the required number of points for that tier, you will be moved to a lower tier.  
 
When I redeem my points, does this affect moving up or down in tiers?
No, redeeming your points does not affect your tier placement or movement.
